This pattern is for a cute mug rug which has room for two cups! Or a cup and a snack! I like the colours because they remind of the 1970s. I think the colour palette is reminiscent of the decor in that decade. Also it looks like a traditional stripy rug but mini! So it feels quite vintage which I like. Of course, you can make it in any colours you like!

Notes
This pattern is written in US Terminology.
Beginning ch-1 does NOT count as a st, unless noted.
Each round will begin by joining new colour in last stitch of previous round.
To join at the end of a round, ss to first st of the round.
The stitch count at the end of each round does not include the slip stitch at the end, this slip stitch covers the first st in the round. After joining the new yarn colour to the last st in the round you just made, make sure not to mistake the next st for the st that you slip stitched into. The next st is the next unworked st.
The ch-sps made in Round 1 count as normal stitches in Round 2. Go into them for an sc, not over them.
